Ellenor Riley-Condit
Ellenor Riley-Condit (she/her) is a theater maker working at the intersection of performance creation and liberatory praxis.
She specializes in processes that balance artistic rigor with collective care, working as a performer, director, deviser, dramaturg, and creative producer. Favorite projects include Then We’ll Rest and Oh, Buddy at UT Austin, A Day’s Work with The Syndicate, and the award-winning film Committee of Six.
As an organizer, she was a cofounder of the Chicago Artists Relief Fund and works with Calling Us In, a national network of creatives dedicated to anti-racist education and action in theater and the arts.
She teaches and makes plays with students of all ages, including as the Faculty and Curriculum Coordinator at Vassar College’s Powerhouse Theater Training Program, where she has directed Once In A Hundred Years, Marathon, and Trojan Women.
She trained extensively with SITI Company and currently collaborates most closely with her art and life partner, Hal Cosentino, under the name Double Text.
